Math Bonk! (mathbonk.com) is a free math game for kids ages 5–8. We built it to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and how parents can have it deleted. It's written for parents; kids, please ask a grown-up to read it with you.
Math Bonk! has no sign-up, no email addresses, no passwords, no chat and no way for players to contact each other. We do not ask for a child's full name, address, phone number, photo, voice or location.
This is saved in your browser's local storage and, so progress can follow you to other devices, on our own server, filed under the family code. We use it only to run the game. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
We run our own copy of Umami analytics at analytics.mathbonk.com to count which screens get played. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and keeps no information that identifies a person. It records things like the screen viewed, browser type, device type and country.
Some screens show one banner ad from Google AdSense, a third-party vendor. Ads are never shown on the title screen, the player screen, or during a battle.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland may see a consent message from Google before ads load.
Math Bonk! is directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as defined by the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or GDPR. The nickname field is limited to 12 characters and is only shown inside the game. If you believe your child entered personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
The server only accepts game data in the expected shape and size. Saved data is kept until it's deleted as described above.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change means collecting anything new from kids, we'll ask for a parent's consent first.
